TOMORROW IN A GALAXY NEARBY

As we Earthlings move out into space, will we meet other creatures … even robots like C-3PO? Perhaps. And will we engage in future Star Wars? Or will we get along with those other occupants of the universe?

There is hope for a friendly future. Three people — an American, a Britisher, and a Russian — just this week went to the International Space Station. They will work together there for six months.

Yet here on Earth we seem to be having more and more difficulty getting along with each other

As we move into the future, we must look not only to other planets, other star systems, other galaxies … we must also take care of our home planet … and, especially, ALL of our fellow human beings.

With the opening of the new STAR WARS film (which I will enjoy here in The Kyrgyz Republic) we are looking out to a galaxy far, far away.

Let’s be sure that we also care for life on our home planet (which, of course, also includes a few people in orbit).
